OK, today was a nice day of recovery. No riding the bike. I was a little shopper today. I wanted to go see what those little Senseo coffee pod machines looked like. Off I went to Target. Interesting selection. I have to say that there is something relaxing and peaceful about going to Target on a Friday morning. No crowds and lots of room to walk around and look at things.
So I go to the coffee machine section and there it is, the Senseo!...hmmm...looks ok, unusual design. I like that :) But wait, what is this other machine next to it?? It is called a Melitta One:One Brewing system...hmmm...that is interesting too. Looks like a rocketship and it comes in red and that means "racing red" to me. I have a pair of Rudy Sunglasses that have Racing Red lenses on them. Yep, that is racing red. But what is this...the price. Am I reading this right...$27.00 and it is on clearance and so are the coffee pods. Is this a sweet deal or a lemon waiting to be sucked?
So I give it a try. Target has a return policy that I can live with and my losses would not be that tremendous either. I get this racing machine coffee rocket to my apartment and give her a go. First I prime it up. Then I let her rip.
They say only use Melitta pods for this machine. I go against those wishes. I bought those Senseo Douwe Egberts brand pods because I feel the Belgians know what is going on for good coffee.
Yes, you can get them to fit. It may not look pretty but they fit. Pictures below will show you this and that I like to take pictures of inanimate objects too.
Well, the coffee is good. Not Peet's stuff but good.
I now have this nice little buzz going on. This can be good or bad depending on if I want to write a novel with many spelling errors or try to take a nap.
So is this coffee pod machine better than a Senseo? I don't know. The price is nice and it does what I like.
Now if only i had a compost to put all this little ufo shaped coffee pods in. Yes, they are biodegradable and work well for a garden.
So my friend Eric will have to tell me which he likes better. I will stick with this Melitta brand and he can get the Senseo one and we can compare.
Ok, time to bounce off the walls and read a dozen novels...this buzz is pretty wild right now :D
